Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. The Central Java Regional Police) exposed two separate subsidized energy diversion cases in Pati and Cilacap Regencies, naming five suspects for illegal LPG gas transfer and subsidized diesel hoarding.

Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Roy Hardi Siahaan said that illegal diversions disrupt fuel distribution and trigger public artificial scarcity.

"We hope that law enforcement, coupled with preventive and persuasive efforts, can run continuously to ensure subsidized energy reaches intended beneficiaries," he said on Saturday (17/10/2026), October 17, 2026.

In Pati Regency, Special Crimes investigators arrested four suspects, identified as LH, MFH, SKRR, and ABS,  for illegally transferring 3 kg LPG contents into larger commercial cylinders.

Meanwhile, in Cilacap Regency, police named a warehouse manager, identified as SH, a suspect after seizing 10,200 liters of illegally stored subsidized diesel obtained from local gas stations. All suspects face charges under Law No. 6 of 2023 on Job Creation.
