Inp.polri.go.id - Tegal. The Central Java Regional Police's Criminal Investigation Directorate, via its Specific Crime Sub-Directorate IV, has exposed the misuse of subsidized diesel fuel in the Jongor Port area of Tegal City.
In late January, the police discovered 43 tons of subsidized diesel fuel in the area, indicating an ongoing practice for the past six months.
"The discovery of 43 tons in one location is significant. We made this breakthrough at the end of January, and it's now undergoing investigation," said Police Senior Superintendent Dwi Subagio, Director of Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Regional Police, on Monday (19/2/2024).
He mentioned that three tanks are currently secured by investigators at the scene in the Jongor Port area, with PT. SGT is under scrutiny based on these findings.
"The modus operandi is classic, buying subsidized diesel fuel at gas stations, accumulating it, and selling it at non-subsidized prices," he added.
Furthermore, he explained that the police have already obtained statements from 8 individuals as witnesses, and the case has now advanced to the investigation stage.
