Inp.polri.go.id – Central Java. Central Java Regional Police have secured 1,904 persons committing adultery from 812 locations throughout Ramadan. The arrested people were secured during 2024 Pekat Candi Operation which was held by Central Java Regional Police from March 6th to March 25th. “There are 1,904 persons caught for adultery in 812 locations, with 1,130 given guidance by the police,” reveal Central Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi during a press conference on Wednesday (3/27/2024). Furthermore, he explained that the operation aims to reduce criminal actions during Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr. Moreover, this brings the total tally of the suspects into 3,579 people from various street crimes such as gambling, misuse of explosive materials, drinking, adultery, thuggery, and drug criminal action. In his conclusion, the police chief conveys his gratitude for the role of the public in reporting the cases to the police, which enables them to suppress the street crimes to be lower than last year.
