Inp.polri.go.id - Palangkaraya. The Central Kalimantan Regional Police deployed a specialized Fire Hunter Task Force to track down and extinguish wildfire hotspots across Palangka Raya, officials confirmed on Friday, (4/9/2026).
The specialized team conducts early fire containment, patrols high-risk zones, and creates firebreaks to prevent blazes from spreading across dry terrain.
"The Fire Hunter Task Force is deployed directly to hotspot locations for early containment, mapping, and inter-agency coordination," Central Kalimantan Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Budi Rachmat said.
To support ground operations, Central Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Iwan Kurniawan conducted aerial patrols to monitor hotspot developments and evaluate regional fire risks.
