Inp.polri.go.id - Palangka Raya. The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) conducted a field visitation to Central Kalimantan on Monday (10/8/2026) after the Central Kalimantan Regional Police was named one of the top five nominees out of 34 regional police headquarters nationwide in the 2026 Kompolnas Awards.
"Visitating Central Kalimantan Police allows us to validate submitted performance records against real ground implementations, public service innovations, and sustainable development impacts," said Kompolnas Commissioner Yusuf Warsyim at the Arya Dharma Hall in Palangka Raya.
Central Kalimantan Governor Agustiar Sabran welcomed the visitation team alongside Central Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Iwan Kurniawan, highlighting that cross-sector collaboration between the police, local administration, the military, and local communities remains central to maintaining local security and handling environmental challenges like forest fires (Karhutla).
Kompolnas also scheduled evaluations for nominated local units, including South Barito Sub-regional Police and West Kotawaringin Sub-regional Police.
