Inp.polri.go.id - Palu. The Central Sulawesi Regional Police launched a home renovation program, locally known as bedah rumah, as part of a series of community welfare initiatives celebrating the 80th Bhayangkara Day.
The social program is designed to provide habitable and decent housing for low-income citizens and extended police families in need.
"This program aims to foster mutual assistance and the care of the Central Sulawesi Police for those who need decent housing," said Central Sulawesi Police Chief Brigadier General Nasri in Palu.
The initiative officially commenced with the renovation of a house belonging to Nirfan, a resident of Baiya, Tawaeli District, Palu. In addition to targeting low-income residents, part of the program's resources has been specifically diverted to assist families whose homes were structurally damaged by recent earthquakes in the province.
Chief Nasri added that the program is being mirrored across the region, with every local sub-regional police tasked with renovating at least one substandard housing unit within their respective jurisdictions.
