Inp.polri.go.id - Palu. The Central Sulawesi Regional Police have extended Operation Madago Raya Phase IV until the end of 2025 to secure Central Sulawesi and counter the spread of radical and intolerant ideologies.
The 92-day extension runs from1 October to 31 December 2025, covering the districts of Poso, Parigi Moutong, and Tojo Una-una, areas long associated with security concerns.
“This operation focuses on deradicalization and counter-radicalization efforts through preemptive and preventive measures, supported by police activities in the field,” said Senior Superintendent Heni Agus Sunandar, the Head of Operation Madago Raya, on Thursday (2/10/2025).
The Central Sulawesi Police have deployed 256 personnel, including 232 police officers, 20 military personnel, and four members of the Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Water and Air Corps.
Authorities are urging community and religious leaders to help maintain order, warning residents not to be provoked by misinformation or social media hoaxes. Officials stressed that cooperation between security forces and civilians is crucial to achieving lasting peace in the region.
