Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Head of Traffic Corps Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho urged traffic officers to fully apply the four principles of procedural justice in their daily service and enforcement.
The principles include ensuring citizens’ voices are heard, showing neutrality, treating people with respect, and acting with trustworthy motives.
“Every citizen must be given space to express opinions, complaints, or explanations before officers make decisions,” Chief Agus said on Thursday (2/10/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
He emphasized that neutrality requires traffic officers to act objectively and professionally, based on facts and regulations rather than personal interest.
Chief Agus added that respectful interaction and sincere intentions are vital to strengthen public trust in law enforcement. He highlighted the “Polantas Menyapa” program as a real movement to create traffic officers who are fair, humane, and trusted, stressing that officers should be seen not only as enforcers but also as protectors and helpers on the road.
