Central Sulawesi Regional Police Found Two More Election Violation Cases

Inp.polri.go.id – Central Sulawesi. The Central Sulawesi Regional Police handles two cases of 2024 Criminal Action that happened in Toli-Toli Regency and Donggala Regency. The two cases involved a legislative election candidate of Toli-Toli and a person from Donggala who voted in two polling stations. “The two cases of 2024 General Election criminal actions were handled by our investigators from our parties,” says the PR Chief of Central Sulawesi, Senior Superintendent Djoko Wienartono on Tuesday (3/26/2024). Djoko says the election violation committed by the election legislative candidate, initialed DA, is involving money politics which occurred on January 23rd 2024 at Jl. Tantong Madayuhi, Tuwulay District, Toli-Toli Regency. DA was charged with Article 521 jo. Article 280 paragraph (1) letter J or Article 523 in conjunction with Article 280 paragraph (1) letter J Law Number 7 of 2023 concerning Elections. The other violations occurred exactly on the voting day, on February 14th, 2024. The man, initialed AR, voted in two polling stations at Polling Station 002 of Tolonggano Village and Polling Station 013 of Ganti Village. AR was charged with Article 516 of Law Number 7 of 2023 concerning Elections. “As of now, our investigator is handling seven cases of election criminal action. Four have been completed while three others are still ongoing,” conclude Djoko. (ad/ek/pr/nm)
