Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police Traffic Directorate has authorized limited shoulder lane use on the Inner-City Toll Road from Semanggi (Km 7) to Cawang Interchange between 6 and 8 pm, citing congestion data from  state-owned toll road operator PT Jasa Marga.

“At 6 pm, peak traffic volume reaches approximately 9,000 vehicles,” said Traffic Director Senior Superintendent Latif Usman on Thursday (27/2/2025).

The designated shoulder lane is intended to mitigate congestion between KM7+500 and KM1 Cawang.

Traffic signs have been installed, and enforcement officers are deployed at key toll access points.

“Emergency vehicles remain the priority,” Chief Latif emphasized, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Unauthorized use outside designated hours will result in penalties. Violators will be fined through the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) system.

The temporary measure, effective from 24 to 28 February 2025, aims to improve traffic flow during evening peak hours.
