Crime Cases on 6-7 September Decreased by 27 Cases: INP

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) noted a decrease in the number of crime cases on September 6-7 2023. "In general, the trend for public security and order disturbances has increased by 27 cases or 1.55%, namely on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, there were 1,746 incidents, and on Thursday, September 7, 2023, there were 1,719 incidents," said Head of the Public Information Bureau, Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, Friday (8/9/23). Of the hundreds of cases, Police Brigadier General Ramadhan named five types of crimes with the highest number of cases. "Namely theft with weight, narcotics, motorbike theft, gambling, and theft with violence," he explained. There were 179 cases of aggravated theft, 127 cases of narcotics, 54 cases of motor vehicle theft, 13 cases of gambling; and 19 cases of theft with violence. Apart from the number of crimes, 344 traffic accidents occurred on September 7, 2023. This figure decreased by 46 cases or 11.79% percent from September 6 2023 with 390 incidents. "In detail, of the 344 incidents, 20 victims died, 47 victims were seriously injured, 325 victims had minor injuries, and material losses of up to IDR 621,150,000 were found," said Police Brigadier General Ramadhan.
