Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. The Damai Cartenz Task Force has deployed officers to conduct intensive patrols across areas prone to disturbances by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Dekai, Yahukimo Regency to preempt violence and maintain public order in the Papua Highlands. 

Brigadier General Faizal Ramadani, Head of Operations for the task force, confirmed on Tuesday (3/3/2026) that the patrols are strategically timed and positioned based on intelligence mapping of suspected insurgent bases.

"The increase in patrols is being conducted alongside firm law enforcement measures," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com. 

Beyond physical security, the task force is shifting its focus toward "political criminal groups" that utilize social media to disseminate propaganda and documentation of their attacks. 

Chief Faizal emphasized that the Task Force is currently profiling these digital actors to take legal action against those facilitating insurgent narratives.
