Inp.polri.go.id - Ilaga. Officers from the Damai Cartenz Task Force conducted humanistic foot patrols in Ilaga, Puncak Regency, Central Papua, on Sunday (9/8/2026) to strengthen community relations alongside routine security operations.

"Maintaining security must go hand in hand with building communication, care, and mutual trust with residents," said Damai Cartenz Task Force Head Inspector General Faizal Ramadhani regarding the community-oriented approach.

During the foot patrol, officers monitored regional conditions while actively greeting locals and distributing light snacks to neighborhood children. 

Deputy Head of the Damai Cartenz Task Force Senior Superintendent Adarma Sinaga noted that direct, humanistic engagements help build trust and demonstrate police care beyond traditional security enforcement. 

Ilaga resident Maue Alom welcomed the police presence, sharing that direct communication creates a warm, reassuring atmosphere for the local community.
