The Damai Cartenz Task Force and the Nabire Sub-regional Police have staged a crime scene reenactment of the planned killing of two Mobile Brigade (Brimob) officers, Brigadier M. Arif Maulana and Frist Brigadier Nelson C. Runaki, by Papua’s armed criminal group (KKB) by Aibon Kogoya. 

The reconstruction was held on Tuesday along the Trans Nabire–Enarotali road in Siriwo District, Central Papua.

“A total of 21 scenes were reenacted to illustrate the events that claimed the lives of two Brimob personnel,” said Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, the Head of Operation Damai Cartenz, on Wednesday (27/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

One suspect, Suplianus Bagau, was brought to demonstrate his role. The attackers were divided into three groups, two carrying out the shootings and one monitoring the area. After the murders, the group seized AK-101 and AK-47 rifles, body vests, and filmed a propaganda video.

Police deployed tactical vehicles and long-barrel rifles for security. Authorities stressed the reenactment strengthens evidence for prosecution and ensures due process.
