inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH), Ahmad Haikal Hasan, encouraged food stall owners, from Tegal food stalls to Padang food stalls to take advantage of the free halal certification process.

"Please, all food stall owners, including Tegal food stall owners, Padang food stall owners, and similar establishments, to take advantage of this opportunity to obtain free halal certification while the government still has free quotas available," said the Head of BPJPH on Monday (8/25/2025).

Business owners can apply for halal certification through the free halal certification program (SEHATI).

This step is implemented based on the Head of BPJPH Decree Number 146 of 2025 concerning Technical Guidelines for Halal Certification Services for Micro and Small Businesses that are Aware of the Halal Statement of Micro and Small Businesses.

"Halal is a standard that reflects product quality. Halal means healthy, hygienic, clean, and of course, high quality," emphasized the Head of BPJPH.

Furthermore, Haikal stated that the ease of halal certification for food stalls aims to ensure that all traditional food stalls can easily obtain halal certification through a halal product process assistance scheme.

"With halal certification, food stalls are expected to have standards that will have implications for increasing competitiveness in the market," said the Head of BPJPH.

Halal certification not only provides legal certainty and protection for the public, but also adds economic value to businesses.

"With this program, the government hopes that more businesses will benefit, so that the halal product ecosystem in Indonesia becomes stronger, more inclusive, and more productive," he added.
