Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. The Damai Cartenz Task Force has dismantled a supply chain delivering weapons and ammunition to an armed separatist group in Central Papua’s Puncak Jaya district.

Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, the Head of the Damai Cartenz Task Force, confirmed on Tuesday (30/9/2025) that two members of the group were captured during a law enforcement raid in Karubate village, Muara district, on Monday. 

The suspects, identified as Erek Enumbi (alias Udara) and Hugon Gire (alias Yemiter Murip), were allegedly part of a network supplying arms to KKB leader Ternus Enumbi (alias Tesko).

At the time of arrest, Hugon Gire was carrying several rounds of ammunition. Authorities confiscated six 9 mm bullets, two 7.62 mm rounds, four 5.56 mm rounds, a sling bag, a plastic pouch, banana leaves, and a Tecno Spark mobile phone.

The origin of the ammunition is under investigation. 

Deputy Chief of Operations Senior Superintendent Adarma Sinaga added that the task force will continue cracking down on arms suppliers fueling violence in Papua.
