Chief Ops (Kabag Banops) of Counter Terrorism Special Detachment (Densus) 88, Commissioner Aswin Siregar., said the unit managed to secure three members of the Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) group. "It is true that the three suspects have been arrested for terrorism crimes in Bima, NTB. They are also part of the JAD network," explained Kabag Banops Densus 88. Two of the three suspects are ex-terrorism convicts. "It is true that two of them were ex-convicts," continued Kabag Banops Densus 88. JAD is one of seven terrorism groups overseen by the government. Throughout 2020, Densus 88 has arrested 118 suspects of terrorism from this group. Meanwhile, in 2021 there were eight people arrested. This militant group is reported to have links to the bombings in Surabaya (East Java) in 2018 and the bombings at the Makassar Church (South Sulawesi) in 2021. Also, this group is affiliated with the terrorist organization of ISIS.
