Inp.polri.go.id - Palembang. To reinforce ideological resilience within law enforcement, the Prevention Team of the Densus 88 Anti-Terrorism Task Force of the South Sumatra Regional Police conducted an educational session on preventing Intolerance, Radicalism, Extremism, and Terrorism (IRET) for 131 Police NCO candidates Class of 2026 at SPN Polda Sumsel on Friday (24/7/2026).

"The Indonesian National Police is not only tasked with enforcing the law, but also serving as a role model in maintaining tolerance. A distorted understanding of religion, ideology, or social conditions can serve as an entry point for radical ideology," said presenter First Brigadier Muhammad Alfarezi during the session.

Attended by Acting Head of SPN Police School South Sumatra Police Senior Superintendent Yusantiyo Sandhy, the two-hour program educated candidates on digital radicalization channels, emerging terror tactics, and case studies involving youth and law enforcement exposure to extremist networks.
