He emphasized that acts of terrorism are not related to any religion. That's what he and his staff hold firmly. "Anyone who commits terrorism, regardless of their religious background, will be handled," explained Inspector General Marthinus after they meet with Legislative Commission III and BNPT at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Monday (21/3/2022). The two-star general released this statement to clear the notion that those who were eradicated terrorism were only Muslims. He also even said that there are also terrorism cases that he handled with the perpetrators from other religions. “Currently, we are also handling several terrorism cases with the perpetrators, not Muslims. We also arrest those who attacked like Alam Sutera just recently, his name is Leopard, and he is a Christians and we still process them," he said. Not only that, but his party also handled the case of an Anarchy group that terrorized police officers by attacking police posts. “It means we are not handling our cases indiscriminately,” he said.
