inp.polri.go.id - Sumedang. Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Rini Widyantini emphasized that the digitalization of public services must lead to convenience for the public, not simply the provision of various government applications.

"Technology may be advanced, high-tech, but the government's goal is for the public to receive services affordably, easily, and simply," she said in Sumedang, West Java, on Wednesday.

In her visit to Sumedang, she addressed that Sumedang's digital service model has become a reference for other regions. The digital services developed by the region have been replicated in more than 50 regencies/cities.

She assessed that Sumedang Regency has demonstrated the application of digitalization while still addressing the needs of the community.

In her statement, Rini said digitalization must be preceded by simplifying business service processes so that technology truly supports the public.

According to Rini, the government needs to implement services through various channels because people's abilities and needs in accessing digital services vary.

"Digitalization must be an enabler. That's why Sumedang Regency is certainly an example of how to deliver these services well," she said.

She emphasized that digital transformation does not mean eliminating face-to-face services. The government must still provide direct services to people who need assistance.

"Face-to-face services must also continue because there are still people whose literacy needs we still need," she said.

In addition to face-to-face services, Rini encouraged the government to provide outreach services for communities in remote areas, as well as self-service kiosks if people don't need to meet with officers in person.

"Secondly, we also want to encourage outreach services in remote areas. And we've also found this in Sumedang Regency," she said.

According to her, service portals can be digital, but the approach to the community must still be personal.
