The Honorary Council of Election Management Bodies (DKPP) has received numerous complaints from the public concerning alleged violations during the stages of the 2024 election, said DKPP Chairman Heddy Lukito during the Regional Election Organizer Coordination Meeting II themed "Realizing Integrity in Elections" in Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java, on Tuesday (14/11/23). Chairman Heddy highlighted that a significant portion of the received complaints revolves around the recruitment process for election organizers, primarily focusing on the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) at both the district/city and provincial levels. He elaborated that dissatisfied individuals, unable to secure positions through the recruitment process, have turned to DKPP, asserting their capability to successfully navigate the tests. Additionally, there are indications that some appointed individuals maintain affiliations with political parties, contravening regulations that prohibit election organizers from holding party positions or memberships within the preceding five years. Addressing issues beyond the election stages, he noted a spectrum of complaints, ranging from allegations of immoral behavior, including instances of infidelity. These sensitive matters are handled discreetly in closed sessions. As of November 1, 2023, DKPP has received a total of 285 ethical code violation complaints, with 128 have progressed to the trial stage.
