inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Member of Commission III of Indonesian House of Representatives, Lola Nelria Oktavia highlights the sexual abuse on a minor in Garut.

She asked the police to investigate the case thoroughly which involves the parents and the closest relatives.

“The repeated sexual harassment by the father, grandfather, and her own uncle is truly mind boggling. Police have to immediately handle this case seriously, thoroughly, and fast,” says Lola on Friday (4/11/2025).

In her statement, she states that deeply condemns the action which causes deep trauma on the victim.

“Suspects must be fully dealt with as a consequence of their action. I invite all parties involved in providing mental support to the victim and ensure that her rights are fulfilled, particularly linked to her health and future,” says Lola.

According to her, the high sexual abuse case to women and children has pushed the formation of Women and Children Protection Unit.
