Member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Hinca Panjaitan, appreciated the police's performance in securing traffic during the 2025 Eid homecoming and return flows. Hinca assessed that the handling of the 2025 homecoming and return flows was smoother than the previous year.

He said that all members of Commission III of the DPR participated in monitoring the 2025 Eid homecoming flow. In fact, he said, the implementation of homecoming in North Sumatra went well.

Hinca assessed that although the number of police personnel to secure the homecoming was reduced, the security points were still running well. He said that the Personnel List (DSP) in North Sumatra only reached 20,634 from the supposed 35,090 personnel.

"So it's extraordinary. Then there are also doctors, who regularly check people’s health conditions. So in terms of the security operation implementation, it is very good indeed," added Hinca.

Moreover, Hinca also noted that the number of accidents in North Sumatra during the homecoming decreased by 63 percent. Hinca appreciated the performance of the Head of Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho and his staff for this achievement.

However, he also gave an evaluation related to the number of police officers who were sick in the North Sumatra region. He said this should be the police's attention for handling the next homecoming.

"For our traffic police who are on duty in the field, they can be rotated and made a schedule, for the sake of their health and the security situation in general," he added.
