inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) has officially ratified the formation of 13 commissions for the 2024-2029 period. This number is an increase of two from the previous 11 commissions.

The ratification was carried out at a plenary meeting of the DPR RI on Tuesday (15/10/2024).

The 2029-2024 DPR RI Chairperson, Puan Maharani, explained that the DPR RI Council's Supporting Apparatus (AKD) consists of the DPR leadership, the Deliberative Body, commissions, the Legislative Body, the Budget Body, the State Financial Accountability Body, the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Body, the Council's Honorary Court, the Household Affairs Body, Special Committees, and other supporting apparatus required and formed by the DPR RI Plenary Meeting.

The number and composition of faction membership in the AKD are, Commission I has 45 members, Commission II has 44 members, Commission III has 45 members, Commission IV has 45 members, Commission V has 45 members, Commission VI has 45 members, Commission VII has 44 members, Commission VIII has 44 members, Commission IX has 45 members, Commission X has 45 members, Commission XI has 45 members, Commission XII has 44 members, and Commission XIII has 44 members.

In addition to approving the addition of commissions, the plenary meeting also approved the formation of the Community Aspiration Agency. This agency will consist of 19 members.
