inp.polri.go.id – The Mandailing Natal Police Narcotics Investigation Unit managed to secure a suspect with the initials AR (42). The man from Galingging, South Sibolga, was arrested along with the evidence of drugs he had. The Head of Mandailing Natal Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, AKP Irwan, explained that the arrest was thanks to the report of the community who informed about the drugs smuggling in the area. “After receiving the information from the community, we immediately moved and arrest the suspect along with the 11 bales of dried marijuana,” stated AKP Irwan in his statement quoted by Antara news agency, Wednesday (10/26). The dried marijuana was each wrapped in yellow duct tape with a gross weight of 11 thousand grams. The police also confiscated one unit of a white motorcycle used by the suspect. For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 115 paragraph (2) Sub-Article 114 paragraph (2) Sub-article 111 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) RI Law number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum penalty of capital punishment or a maximum of 20 years of imprisonment and a minimum sentence of six years and a fine of Rp10 billion.
