Inp.polri.go.id - Dumai. The Dumai Sub-regional Police destroyed 30.8 kilograms of methamphetamine and other illicit drugs seized from an international smuggling network at their headquarters on Wednesday (29/7/2026). 

Led by Dumai Police Chief Superintendent  Fatikh Dedy Setyawan, the operation successfully saved over 155,000 lives from potential drug abuse.The destroyed evidence included 30.8 kg of crystal meth, 30.8 kg of marijuana, 59 ecstasy pills, and 215 grams of synthetic cannabis.

"This operation is the result of synergy between the police, Customs, Prosecution, Court, and the National Narcotics Agency," he said. "We will continue to step up enforcement against drug traffickers to protect the public from the dangers of narcotics abuse."

Authorities carried out the destruction publicly alongside local law enforcement agencies and heavily guarded suspects to ensure full legal transparency along the coastal smuggling route.
