Inp.polri.go.id - Surabaya. East Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Nanang Avianto championed the "Jogo Jatim" spirit as a collective movement to create safe environments and safeguard women and children from sexual violence, exploitation, and Human Trafficking Crimes.
"Never be a spectator when seeing others in distress. Do not remain silent when witnessing injustice. One brave voice can save a life," he said while opening the "Rise and Speak" campaign, themed "Berani Bicara Selamatkan Sesama" (Dare to Speak Up, Save Others), in Surabaya on Tuesday (15/9/2026)..
Given East Java's high public mobility as an economic and tourism hub, Chief Nanang emphasized that the "Jogo Jatim" philosophy extends beyond maintaining general order to building inclusive, safe public spaces for vulnerable groups.
To reinforce protection mechanisms, the East Java Police maximized the Directorate of Crimes Against Women and Children and Human Trafficking Eradication as the front-line agency to receive and process public reports.
