Inp.polri.go.id - Banyuwangi. East Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Nanang Avianto led a social service ceremony in Banyuwangi on Monday (15/6/2026) to commemorate the 80th Bhayangkara Day.

The event included the distribution of 2,055 holy books, consisting of 2,040 Qur’ans, 5 Bibles, 5 Vedas, and 5 Tripitakas, to places of worship, religious schools, and local communities.

“The Indonesian National Police must always be present among the people and contribute meaningfully. Through this social service, we aim to support religious life and strengthen social care,” said Chief Nanang.

He said that maintaining public order depends not only on law enforcement but also on moral and spiritual values. Strengthening religious understanding, he noted, fosters tolerance and unity, aligning with the Jogo Jatim program to ensure peace and harmony across East Java.
