Inp.polri.go.id - Surabaya. The East Java Regional Police held the Bromo King of Mountains (KOM) XII cycling event on Saturday (6/6/2026) to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Bhayangkara Day.
Thousands of cyclists from across Indonesia and abroad joined the race, starting from East Java Police headquarters in Surabaya and finishing in the Bromo highlands.
“On this occasion, I congratulate the participants of Bromo KOM XII and celebrate Bhayangkara Day’s 80th anniversary,” said East Java Police Chief Inspector General Nanang Avianto after flagging off the riders.
The event, first launched in 2014, has become a major sport tourism attraction, combining challenging routes with East Java’s natural scenery.
Chief Nanang highlighted safety throughout the race and urged participants to maintain discipline. He also thanked MainSepeda and supporting committees for their collaboration.
He expected the annual event will continue to grow, promoting healthy lifestyles and showcasing East Java’s tourism potential.
