inp.polri.go.id - East Java. The East Java Regional Police distributed 149 sacrificial animals to Islamic boarding schools, orphanages, mosques, and prayer rooms (mushallas) across East Java to commemorate Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri.
"Eid al-Adha is a moment for us to foster mental and spiritual development, improving faith, piety, self-sacrifice, and social awareness to realize a Precision Police Force," said the Head of the Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri Committee for the East Java Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Sih Harno, in Surabaya on Wednesday (5/27/2026).
He stated that the enthusiasm of the East Java Regional Police for this year's Eid al-Adha celebration was quite high. This was evident in the number of sacrificial animals received by the committee, which reached 149: 127 bulls and 22 goats.
He stated that all of the sacrificial animals have been distributed in stages to the community and various institutions in need within the jurisdiction of the East Java Regional Police.
On May 25-26, 2026, the committee distributed dozens of bulls and goats to Islamic boarding schools, orphanages, police dormitories, police partner institutions, mosques, and prayer rooms.
Sih Harno stated that the Eid al-Adha momentum is not only interpreted as a sacrificial offering, but also as a manifestation of the police's social concern and presence in the community.
"Through this Eid al-Adha momentum, we hope that the values of togetherness, sincerity, and social concern will be strengthened, so that the Indonesian National Police can continue to be present and benefit the community," said Sih Harno.
