inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Sub-regional Police have filed a Red Notice with the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) against a fugitive identified as LA, suspected of recruiting and sending prospective Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) illegally to Cambodia.
"We have submitted this Red Notice for follow-up with Interpol," said Soekarno-Hatta Airport Sub-regional Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Wisnu Wardana, as quoted by Antara, Wednesday (5/27/2026).
He stated that suspect LA, identified as a woman from Bangka Belitung, had fled abroad after being placed on the wanted list (DPO) in an alleged labor smuggling case.
The investigative team is continuing to investigate the network that deployed prospective Indonesian migrant workers who were promised work as online gambling administrators in Cambodia.
"We will continue to pursue the recruiters and coordinators of this illegal migrant worker network, including the possibility that the perpetrators are abroad through international cooperation mechanisms and red notice filings," he said.
For your information, between January and May 2026, the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Sub-regional Police thwarted 89 illegal migrant workers' departures to Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
