Inp.polri.go.id – East Java. East Java Regional Police prepares joint personnel in ensuring public could celebrate year-end holiday safely and securely. The police states that not only providing security for the Christians in celebrating Christmas, police also aim to secure traffic situation during the busy days of holiday, “For traffic security, we will dispatch our personnel involved in Semeru Lilin Operation to several locations that we have mapped,” says East Java Traffic Director, Senior Superintendent Komarudin on Monday (12/18/2023). Komarudin also states that his party will also pay attention to several roads crossed by rail trains. Police have estimated there are thousands of vehicles crossed rails every day during the December holiday season. “Thus, we were asked by the local government to deploy our personnel to watch over the unguarded rails,” says Komarudin. The Traffic Director adds that people would get busy during holiday season as there will be more people from outside East Java that would pay a visit the province.
