East Java Regional Police Sign Integrity Pact to Prevent Drug Abuse

inp.polri.go.id - Surabaya. The East Java Regional Police and the other Police in East Java subordination signed the integrity pact simultaneously to commit not to get involved in narcotics abuse. They are also committed not to protect drug dealers. The integrity pact was held following the Chief of East Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Nico Afinta, as ordered by the Chief of Indonesian National Police.   "The signing of this integrity pact is a form of our commitment. Both the National Police and civil servant are not involved in narcotics abuse, let alone protecting drug dealers. The sanctions are severe if they violate this commitment. The Police and civil servant follow the signing of this integrity pact at the East Java Regional Police and all police subordination," explained the Chief of East Java Regional Police.   For information, personnel from the East Java Regional Police's Directorate of Narcotic Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) took part in the Indonesian Police's Merah Putih Special Taskforce Team dismantling 2.5 tons of crystal methamphetamine. The international drug network from Pakistan was dismantled before being sent by sea to the waters of Aceh, Sumatra. In that case, seven people were arrested. The evidence confiscated at that time consisted of 43 large packages with a rough calculation of the gross weight of 2.5 tons of crystal methamphetamine. If converted into rupiah, it reaches Rp. 1.2 trillion.
