Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. East Kalimantan Regional Police’s Water and Air Directorate conducted integrated patrols and security operations at Balikpapan’s Manggar Segarasari and Lamaru beaches on Sunday (31/5/2026)to safeguard holiday crowds and prevent accidents during the Eid Al Adha and Vesak long weekend.

Officers provided safety education to visitors, reminding them to respect designated swimming zones and follow instructions from on-site personnel. Patrols also monitored water attractions such as banana boats, requiring users to wear life jackets and comply with safety procedures.

Weather and tide conditions were closely observed, with updates shared to reduce risks of maritime incidents. The presence of Search and Rescue (SAR) teams ensured readiness for emergencies.
