inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps presents the digital Driving License service for the public. This makes the process of acquiring the Driving License easier and faster.

The innovation is part of the police effort in digital transformation in making public service to be more efficient, modern, and accessible.

The Director of Registration and Identification of INP Traffic Corps, Brigadier General Wibowo says that the public who wants to get this service must have to download the Digital Korlantas app first. 

After the installation of the app, the user only needs to register by verifying the identity before the Driving License data is synchronized to the system.

The verification is done automatically through the integrated data basis from INP Traffic Corps. If the data is verified, the Digital SIM would immediately be activated and saved in the app.

According to Wibowo, the application also enables the user to save more than one type of Driving License such as Driving License A and Driving License C. With that, users can input their Driving Licenses to the app.

Other than making things more efficient, the app also helps the user in saving their Driving License in case their Driving License card is lost. 

“If there are any police officers who want to check your Driving License, you can show your license with the app,” said Wibowo.

Because it has a valid legal basis, the public does not need to worry about showing a digital SIM during inspections on the road. Simply by opening the Digital Korlantas application, officers can easily check and validate the authenticity of electronic documents.
