Inp.polri.go.id - Ende. Officers from the Ende Sub-regional Police and local officers joined residents to clear earthquake debris at the Daarul Jamaal Mosque in South Ende District, East Nusa Tenggara, on Thursday (10/9/2026).

The joint cleanup aimed to restore the damaged place of worship so congregants could safely resume religious activities.

"This activity reflects our empathy and commitment to support the community," said Ende Police Chief Superintendent Yudhi Franata. "When public and religious facilities are restored for use, that shared relief becomes our happiness as well."

Mosque Imam Hasan B. Atawani thanked the police's quick response in clearing collapsed building materials that local residents previously could not manage alone.

East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent. Henry Novika Chandra said that police forces remain committed to driving post-disaster recovery across affected communities.
