Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Environment and Forestry Ministry of Air Pollution Control Task Force in Greater Jakarta area intensify their supervision and control, one of which is by preparing layered legal steps towards activities suspected polluting the city.
“Either conducted by the corps and community, the supervision and layered legal steps will be implemented against violators,” said the Task Force Chief, Rasio Ridho Sani, Monday (9/11/2023).
He said that the task force has the strength of 100 personnel and supported by environmental laboratory analysis that has conducted 32 industry monitoring in Greater Jakarta area.
“Our supervision control conducted in Karawang, Bekasi, Bogor, Jakarta Utara, Jakarta Timur, and Tangerang, including South Tangerang,” said Rasio Ridho.
Their supervision control focused on those who have the potential of polluting the air and community reports. Task force control also include on coal stockpile, Air Power Plant, industry using PLTU and food boiler, pulp and paper, plastic, textile, metal smelting, chemical industry, glass, concrete, and plastic manufacturing.
According to him, the task force has implemented temporary halt and sealed 13 industrial activity. They also punished eight industrial activities, and in progress to sanctioned another nine industrial activities.
In processing the supervision control, the task force used all law instruments under the jurisdiction of the Environment and Forestry Ministry.
