Indonesian President Joko Widodo stated that rice distribution for the beneficiary community will continue to be conducted as long as the stock is available. “If the stock available we will continue to keep distributing it, so that the community would not be affected by the high price,” said Joko Widodo on Monday (9/11/2023). He admits that there was an increase in premium rice, although inflation is still maintained in 3.2%. He also ensured that national rice stock is still safe for Bulog rice warehouse still contained with 2 tons of rice. With the many stocks of rice in warehouse, government decided to continue their distribution of rice aid. The aid will be distributed by the government for the next three months, from September to November 2023.
