Inp.polri.go.id - Bogor.  Minister of Environment and Head of the Environmental Control Agency, Hanif Faisol Nurrofiq, has officially revoked environmental permits for several businesses in the Puncak highland area of Bogor, West Java. 

The decision affects 33 business units on land operated under a joint cooperation with state-owned plantation company  PTPN, nine of which previously held permits.

“Of the 33 businesses, nine had environmental permits, but we revoked them due to the Bogor government’s inaction. So I intervened directly to cancel them,” Minister Hanif said during a site inspection in Cisarua on Sunday (27/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The ministry has ordered the businesses to voluntarily demolish their buildings by the end of August 2025. Non-compliance will lead to forced demolition and legal action under Article 114 of Law No. 32/2009 on Environment.

The Ministry will also reclaim 400 hectares of land illegally occupied in the Puncak area, citing damage to the Ciliwung watershed and increased flood risk downstream.
