inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Narcotics Investigation Directorate arrested a man named Asiong for distributing Etomidate in Riau. He was apprehended in the parking lot of the Furaya Hotel in Pekanbaru for possession of THUGS brand etomidate cartridges.

"The suspect was arrested along with evidence: 43 THUGS brand Etomidate cartridges, a cell phone, and two smoking devices," said Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Investigation Directorate at INP's Criminal Investigation Unit, on Wednesday (4/15/2026).

He explained that the suspect admitted that the etomidate cartridges were his personal property. He owned the Thugs cartridges for his own consumption with his friends.

Regarding the origin of the etomidate cartridges, he said, the suspect claimed to have been introduced to them by a woman with the initials T. He was then introduced to another woman with the initials R.

"The handover transaction took place twice at a repair shop in Pekanbaru," said Eko.

Police are currently tracking down the line of transaction from Asiong to R.
