inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) emphasized that every new Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) that will operate is required to conduct service trials and food handler training.

Harjito, Director of Monitoring and Supervision Region I of BGN, stated that the pre-operational preparation phase aims to anticipate various challenges in the implementation of the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG).

"We require SPPGs to conduct trials and provide food handler training before they are officially running. This is to prevent any untoward incidents," explained Tauwas Director Harjito on Thursday (5/7/2026).

He stated that this is an absolute requirement for the implementation of service activities at all SPPGs.

Director Tauwas Harjito also stated that SPPG managers are required to ensure the availability of a Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL), with a minimum of three chambers or compartments for waste processing. Any wastewater discharged from the SPPG's drainage system must be sterile to prevent environmental pollution.

"Otherwise, they must prepare a tanker truck daily to dispose of the waste," he explained.

Furthermore, Tauwas Director Harjito stated that the number of SPPGs may continue to increase to meet the needs of beneficiaries, particularly pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers (3B).
