inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesia Development Monitoring (IDM) released the results of a survey on the performance and level of public trust in the Indonesian National Police (INP). The survey was conducted from April 7–20, 2026, with 1,580 respondents in 34 provinces using a multistage random sampling method.

IDM Executive Director Dedi Rohman stated that the level of public trust in INP reached 79.2 percent. This figure indicates a trend of recovering public trust in the police institution.

"The results of this police performance survey also have a strong correlation with public satisfaction with President Prabowo Subianto's administration," Dedi Rohman told reporters on Saturday (4/25/2026).

The survey also showed that 52.3 percent of respondents were aware of INP's role in the food security program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto. Meanwhile, 78.7 percent of respondents appreciated the police’s involvement in the program.

"One of them is helping to achieve food self-sufficiency, which aims to improve public welfare," said Dedi.

Furthermore, 83.8 percent of respondents expressed their appreciation for INP's involvement in the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, particularly through monitoring food quality and distribution through the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG).

"INP are considered successful in improving their image through monitoring food quality and security and orderly distribution through their SPPGs," he said.

The IDM also noted that 88.7 percent of respondents felt safe walking outside at night. Meanwhile, satisfaction with INP's public services reached 81.2 percent, law enforcement at 75.1 percent, and internal oversight at 76.7 percent.

Dedi added that the survey had a 95 percent confidence level with a margin of error of approximately 2.47 percent and was conducted through face-to-face interviews with respondents.
