Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang.  All Indonesian National Police (INP) officers carry public relations responsibilities, the INP Head of Public Relations Division Inspector General Sandi Nugroho on Tuesday (6/5/2025). 

Speaking at the technical coordination meeting in Semarang, Central Java, he emphasized that every officer plays a part in shaping public perception.

"Every officer is part of the Police's public relations function," said Chief Sandi. "They must foster a peaceful, safe, and calm environment—both online and offline."

He stressed that while negative stories about the police surface quickly in the digital age, good deeds must also be equally visible. These include community service, operations, and achievements.

Echoing the message, the Human Resources Assistant to the INP Chief Inspector General Anwar said that public relations must be the frontline of the police. 

“Success isn’t about frequency of messaging, but how well it builds trust and mobilizes public participation to maintain law and order,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com
