Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A viral Facebook video claiming that prominent Indonesian businessman Andi Syamsuddin Arsyad, popularly known as Haji Isam, is distributing Rp210 million in cash aid was confirmed as a deepfake hoax on Monday.

According to a fact-check report by Kompas.com, there is no valid information supporting the claims made in the video, which has been digitally manipulated to mislead the public.

An analysis conducted by digital identification platform Hive Moderation revealed that the voice in the footage offering the financial assistance has a 99.3 percent probability of being generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI).
