The Cooperative Ministry, Ferry Juliantono, says that the cooperative has a strategic role as the collaborative economic model. This can overcome the city challenges, particularly in the low income society areas.

"The right to decent housing is part of social justice. Through the Public Housing Network Services Cooperative (JAPRA), we want to become a concrete solution in providing affordable housing," he said on Tuesday (10/7/2025).

On this occasion, he mentioned that the Revolving Fund Management Institution (LPDB) KUMKM will be a supporting partner for JAPRA. Namely in expanding access to financing and strengthening the cooperative business model in the public housing sector.

In addition, the Red and White Village Cooperative program will also be collaborated to strengthen the local economy around urban areas. According to him, the urban crisis requires collaboration between civil society, the business world, and the government.

To date, at least 22 housing cooperatives have received financing from various sources. This includes the mutual cooperation housing model that has been running in Yogyakarta, Jakarta, Pemalang, and Gorontalo.
