Police Senior Superintendent Arisandy, Head of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police's Public Relations, has confirmed that the body of Police Second Private Bonifasius Jawa, a Mobile Brigade (Brimob) officer from the NTT Regional Police, was scheduled to arrive in Kupang on Friday (24/11/23). The victim lost his life due to gunshot wounds on the right side of his back during a firefight between the Intan Jaya the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) and the Damai Carstenz Task Force near Titigi Village, Intan Jaya Regency, on Wednesday (22/11/23).  Another victim, Police First Private Rani Yohanes Seran, was shot in the left thigh and is currently under intensive care. "Upon arriving in Kupang, the body will be laid in state at the NTT Regional Police's Brimob Headquarters," he said. Following a brief period at the Headquarters, the officer's body will be transported to his hometown in Bajawa, Ngada Regency. (ar/inp/pr/nm)
