The joint forces of Indonesian Military Force (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (INP) further intensify their patrol in Titigi District, Central Papua following clash between the joint forces and the Armed Criminal Group. Sad news delivered by Papua Regional Police PR Chief, Grand Commissioner Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, reveals one Damai Cartenz Ops personnel has fell in action, while the other one suffers a gun wound. The clash began at 08:20 when joint forces of Intan Jaya Police and Damai Cartenz Ops were investigating field mines at Titigi District. “When they arrived at the location, around 12:28 noon, they were ambushed by the Armed Criminal Group which then led to a gunfight,” explains Benny. The soldier who fell in action is Bharada Bonifasius Jawa, while Bharatu Yohanes Seran suffers the gun wound. “The two of them has been evacuated to Timika Hospital for further medical attention. Intan Jaya security apparatus currently is intensifying their pursuit on the group,” conclude Benny. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
