Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Official clarification was issued debunking viral social media claims asserting that the Indonesian government intends to abolish the Social Security Administering Body for Health (BPJS Kesehatan) and replace it with Merah Putih Village Cooperative (Kopdes) Clinics.
Fact-checking verification conducted alongside counter-disinformation partners confirmed that no official government statements support the claim.
BPJS Kesehatan Head of Public Relations Rizzky Anugerah confirmed that BPJS Kesehatan and the National Health Insurance (JKN) program continue to operate normally in accordance with Law No. 24 of 2011 and Law No. 40 of 2004.
He clarified that the launch of clinics and pharmacies within the Merah Putih Kopdes network serves to strengthen cooperative healthcare service access, not replace the national health insurance infrastructure. The public is advised to rely on official channels for social security policy updates and avoid sharing unverified digital rumors.
