Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police Chief (INP) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo affirmed that the police will take firm action against all forms of thuggery, in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s directive to guarantee investments
“Don’t hesitate to invest. We will handle security,” he said on Friday (9/5/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Since 1 May 2025, the police have conducted nationwide operations, resulting in 3,326 resolved cases. Key crackdowns included arrests in Subang and Tangerang, and a summons of a mass organization leader in Central Kalimantan.
Chief Sigit urged the public to report thuggery to the newly-opened complaint channels, emphasizing that law enforcement will respond swiftly.
The ongoing operations reflect the police’s commitment to public order and economic stability. INP Head of Public Relations Chief Sandi Nugroho reiterated that the force will not tolerate intimidation, extortion, or violence, especially under the guise of civil society groups.
