Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. First Inspector Motalip Litiloly received the 2026 Hoegeng Award for Border and Remote Policing at The Tribrata Darmawangsa in Jakarta on Friday (31/7/2026).

Stationed in Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains, since 2012, he was honored for fostering public trust and mediating inter-group conflicts using persuasive, community-focused approaches in a high-risk area.

Known affectionately by local residents as "Pak Salib," he frequently engaged directly with tribal and religious leaders to preserve peace and social order.

"This award honors the dedication of police officers who work from the heart and prioritize human-centered approaches," Indonesian National Police (INP) Head of Public Relations Division Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir said. "First Inspector Motalip Litiloly demonstrates that the police presence is welcomed through genuine trust, care, and service."

The annual Hoegeng Awards celebrate officers displaying extraordinary integrity and selfless dedication in remote, border, and conflict-prone regions across Indonesia.
